Kraft Power Corporation: Bringing the Power to Massillon

March 7, 2007 - The power of the people is alive and well at Kraft Power Corporation. The folks in Kraft Power's Canton, OH location said they needed a newer, bigger and better location, and they found it right here in Massillon. They are breaking ground on their new facility in the Neocom 1 Industrial Park soon, and anticipate moving in by Fall 2007. Kraft Power is in the field of generator power systems, combined heat and power, power transmission products, diesel, natural gas and alternative fuel (biogas) engines, as well as service, parts and accessories. Their focus includes the distribution, maintenance and support of power systems for industrial, oil and gas municipal standby applications; a great company to have in our back yard to support our power needs.

Kraft Power's Canton facility has served them well enough for 10 years, but their current Cleveland Avenue building is inadequate and they need more room for all that power-producing inventory. Their new location in Neocom 1 Industrial Park also has prime access to Route 30 and I-77, which improves their ability to easily reach their customer base with minimal in-town traffic.

The Neocom 1 Industrial Park project started in 1996, an initiative designed to recruit new business to the area. The 300 acre Class A park offers ample capacity, which will bring jobs, tax revenues and a more diverse industry base. Ziegler Tire, Kendal Welding Inc., E-Tank, and Polyone Rayco Manufacturing all join Kraft Power Corporation in cementing their new facility spaces.

The benefits to Massillon are obvious; Kraft Power's large distribution center so close to the highway means a strengthening of the local economy with minimal impact. Our local companies who rely on Kraft Power's equipment and service will be happier too; ready access means their power equipment can be equipped and serviced quickly and easily with minimal disruption to the work day for repairs. All in all, I'd say the addition of Kraft Power to our community is a great one.
